The BOSIET course at GCTC was exceptional. The HUET pool sessions were realistic and gave me the confidence I needed. Capt. Okafor is an outstanding instructor and the certificate was issued the same day.

I've taken BOSIET twice before at other centers, but GCTC's program is by far the best. The live firefighting exercise was intense and practical. Will return for my FOET refresher.

Great course overall. The sea survival module was particularly useful. The online certificate verification system is a nice touch.

What is the difference between BOSIET and FOET?
BOSIET is the initial certification required for offshore workers. FOET is the 1-day refresher required every 4 years to maintain your BOSIET certification.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes, basic swimming ability is required for HUET and sea survival modules — at least 25 meters. Contact us beforehand if you have concerns.
How long is the BOSIET certificate valid?
4 years from date of issue. GCTC sends automatic reminders 90 days before expiry so you can book your FOET refresher in time.
What should I bring?
A valid photo ID, offshore medical certificate, change of clothes, and a towel. All PPE and training equipment is provided; lunch is included.
Is the certificate recognized internationally?
Yes — recognized globally by major operators and regulators, and verifiable anytime through our online certificate registry.
